SENSITIVE CRYSTALLISATION

It is a method which permits to reveal the vitality state of a product (food for example) and to globally appreciate certain aspects of its quality by interpreting an image of the organic material diluted in copper chloride (CuCl2).
Often, the interpretation is completed by a comparison effect.
After passing through the drying oven, the precipitation of copper produces a crystallisation and provides an image called "sensitive crystallisation", that is characteristic of the studied product.
At present this analytical technique is most of all used to reveal the difference of vitality and structure richness between organic, biodynamic and "classic" food products.
It can highlight the evolution of a product vitality with the passing days.
If it is not yet validated by the scientific community, it tends however to be more and more utilised as a complementary tool for quality control, notably by researchers specialised in organic agriculture.

ACTION OF THE BALM CONTAINER Ataraxya®

Research objective :
Has the BALM CONTAINER Ataraxya® any effect on vitality and on the conservation of organic material ?
To do so, two samples stemming from the same organic Renan wheat Juice have been compared :

Juice A : neutral
Juice B : same juice than juice A but kept permanently inside a BALM CONTAINER Ataraxya® until the end of the experiment,
The samples are kept away from light and at room temperature until the end of the experiment. Each sample is crystallised five times: at D+1, D+7, D+14, D+28, and D+40. (Trials are generally carried out for 28 days. Here trials have been extended to 40 days).

D+1

Juice A : neutral

At D+1, the neutral sample presents characteristics which correspond to the product analysed.
Presence of few white stains
and beginning of appearance of central vacuoles.

D+1

Juice B : in the balm container

At D+ 1, the sample placed in the Balm container seems to give rise to a crystalline network better organised than in the case of the neutral sample at the same stage.
The texture of the intermediate zone is more regular
despite a tendency of stretching with the peripheral zone.
D+7

Juice A : neutral

At D+7 the system of vacuole amplifies and the white stains seem more numerous than at D+1. The crystalline network fine and branched, doesn't present any notable disturbance..
The start of the ageing process alone can be seen at this stage
this through the number of white stains.

D+7

Juice B : in the balm container

At D+7, the main difference lies in the absence of white stains which proves the maintenance of the product global vitality. The vacuoles are clearly visible, the crystalline networks show straight lines, with a radial tendency. They allow to think of the influence of the "air" element and ether of light. The peripheral zone is less important than for the neutral sample which confirms the thesis of superior vitality
D+14

Juice A : neutral

At D+14 the image didn't evolved much: the central vacuoles are still perceptible. The white stains also and the crystalline networks are still squeezed.

D+14

Juice B : in the balm container

At D+14, the networks are developing widely. Central vacuoles develop into harmonious shapes (lemniscate roll up). The texture is supple, drooping and rich. This time it evokes a predominance of the "water" element. The image is very rich, both in its structure and in its texture. The distribution of peripheral, middle and central zones is harmonious structure. The nature of crystalline networks too (texture).
D+28

Juice A : neutral

At D+28, the neutral sample follows its evolution: the image keeps being readable, central vacuoles are simplified but still present. The reading of the peripheral zone is still good. This is a sign of the good quality of the product used for the trial.
D+28

Juice B : in the balm container

At D+28 the image is still evolving; central vacuoles are widening out, the crystalline network has become denser, the peripheral zone has almost not evolved and very few white stains can be seen. The image obtained is one of a product with well-preserved even improved vital qualities if we compare them to those of the neutral sample.
D+40

Juice A : neutral

At D+40 de neutral sample is deteriorated: a part of the image has become unreadable, many white stains are visible and the peripheral zone has widen.

D+40

Juice B : in the balm container

At D+40, the image obtained shows that the favourable evolution continues. About 40 days after the beginning of the trial, the juice still presents remarkable global and vital qualities compared to the neutral sample kept in an "inert" container. Even though a few signs of alteration can be seen (beginning of a stretching tendency between the peripheral and intermediate zone, simplification of crystalline networks at the bottom and at the left bottom of the image), the vacuoles are clearly visible and white stains completely absent. Moreover, simple visual observation of the juice kept in the container shows a total absence of visible surface deposit.

CONCLUSIONS :

The efficiency of the Balm container can easily be seen with sensible crystallisation.
Moreover, the sample kept in this Balm container has not produced any surface clusters when ageing, nor has it produced bad smell after 40 days.
The evolution of the images, shows that even though the sample kept in the Balm container has been through several influences of the elements (notably air at D7, water at D14 then fire at D28 and D40) it has developed global vitality between D1 and D28.
The evolution of the product in the Balm container is clearly of superior quality compared to the neutral product, and this as from the 7th day of experiment..
The richness of the crystalline networks, the width of central vacuoles and the limited activity of the peripheral zone altogether produce extremely readable images after 40 days of ageing of the juice conserved in the Balm container.
